Tim Gilpin Joins Accountancy Matters as Midlands/North Account Manager

9.56am 5th June 2024 - People

Accountancy Matters, the outsourcing golf club accounts and bookkeeping company, are expanding their team again with the appointment of Tim Gilpin as the Account Manager for the Midlands/North region.

Tim joins the rapidly expanding team from a 25-year career in the golf, leisure and hospitality sectors. As a qualified PGA Professional, he worked at various clubs including Tenby in South Wales and La Moye in the Channel Islands. He also held senior management positions, overseeing club operations at venues including De Vere, Mottram Hall and Beau Desert Golf Club.

The appointment marks a significant milestone for Accountancy Matters as they launch their highly popular accounts and bookkeeping outsourcing service to golf clubs in the Midlands and the North.

Commenting on the appointment, Tim says, “I’m thrilled to have joined the Accountancy Matters team to head up their expansion into the Midlands and northwards. I think my background illustrates one of the key USP’s to the service they offer. I’ve worked at golf clubs for many years in senior management roles, so I have much empathy with the challenges that financial accounting and bookkeeping present to private-member clubs. I believe this puts me, and Accountancy Matters, in a strong position to offer practical solutions to these challenges.”

Tim will be heading up the already-established accounting services in place at Coventry, Robin Hood and Maxstoke Golf Clubs, as well as launching the new regional office.

Paul Mould, Director at Accountancy Matters, comments, “Tim joins us with vast experience of golf club management and operations. This, in combination with the advanced technologies we use and the best-practice we employ, makes for a strong service and support we can now offer to golf clubs in this region. We’re excited to get started and grow our club portfolio.”
