Telegraph.co.uk has launched its all new golf course and tee time directory through its partnership with One Golf Network, the tee time and green fee marketing initiative supported by the English Golf Union and the Golf Union of Wales.
Telegraph.co.uk, Digital Publisher of the Year*, is the first to go live with the golf directory amongst a number of partner websites working with One Golf Network. The directory is the first of its kind, is the most comprehensive to date and is built using dynamic content which is updated with real time green fee and tee time information.
Telegraph.co.uk currently receives over 550,000** page views per month to its golf pages during high season, so the partnership provides golf clubs with a great opportunity to promote golf and green fees at their clubs to a massive golf audience. The Telegraph has long been acknowledged for its commitment to golf and is the natural media choice for keen golfers.
Steve Stiles, Senior Manager of Interactive Sport for Telegraph Media Group commented: “Our audience loves golf and we’ve traditionally always been seen as the newspaper for golfers and now we have been able to include some great added value features for our audience online. The new directory feature on our golf pages will allow our users to not only read the latest golf news but to book their next round whilst there.”
Jane Carter, Managing Director, Gemini Network Media added: “We are extremely pleased that the Telegraph golf directory is the first of our partners to go live. This feature will offer their readers a complete online golf experience – from reading the latest news, to buying a green fee or booking a tee time. For our clubs looking to market themselves to a discerning online golf audience, the Telegraph .co.uk audience is invaluable.”
