Gorman Golf Media, a Massachusetts-based LLC with several golf media properties, has announced that it has acquired full ownership of Pro Golf Weekly, a notable golf media brand.
Pro Golf Weekly, founded in 2016 by golf industry executive Paul Daly, is a digital marketing platform which highlights the best of the professional golf tours including PGA Tour, LIV Golf League and LPGA. Original and curated content is provided each week from a team of experienced golf journalists that has built Pro Golf Weekly into one of the industry’s top brands.
“We have high expectations to grow the Pro Golf Weekly brand expanding coverage of equipment, travel, player profiles, news releases, video and more,” said CEO Thomas Gorman. “In the near future we will announce an executive team, equipment editor, travel editor, video editor, gambling editor and the hiring of two high profile columnists. Every week our team will provide readers with fresh content, unique insight and breaking golf news.”
One of Gorman’s first contracts went out to Paul Daly, Pro Golf Weekly’s founder.
“It was important to bring Paul Daly back into the fold. He will assume a consulting role and remain active in content creation, while advising us on best practices relative to website development and content optimization,” added Gorman.
In addition to Pro Golf Weekly, Gorman Golf Media properties include New England dot Golf, eSoutherngolf.com and Golf Life Real Estate. The acquisition of Pro Golf Weekly, which completed on August 9, sees Gorman Golf Media retain the technical and graphic patents and seven years of reputable published content.
The next issue, which is distributed by email, is billed as ‘a Fall Preview of LIV Golf & PGA Tour’ and is due for publication on 4th September.
