PING Apparel has extended its partnership with the European Solheim Cup team as the Official Apparel Supplier for the upcoming match at Finca Cortesin in Spain.
After kitting out the team for the 2021 matches, the European team will be aiming to retain the coveted Solheim Cup trophy once again dressed head-to-toe in PING Apparel.
With a long-standing relationship with the Solheim Cup, having played an integral role in its inception in 1990, PING has been heavily invested in the development of the event since the beginning. The tournament is subsequently named after Karsten and Louise Solheim, PING’s founders, and the event has since held a special place within PING.
Lisa Lovatt, Managing Director of PING Europe, commented: “We are excited to continue our journey with the Solheim Cup as Official Apparel Supplier of Team Europe once again. This contest is one we all hold close to our hearts, so to play a part in its progression is incredibly special. The women’s game has seen some of its biggest growth to date over the last few years, and our passion for supporting where we can has only strengthened.”
Fiona Reilly, Global Creative Director for PING, added: “Contributing to this globally renowned event is something the entire PING team are proud of. As a team, we have produced tournament garments that are engineered for every weather eventuality and situation, to ensure the team is well equipped throughout the week. It has been fantastic to work alongside European captain Suzann Pettersen, on the design of the team outfits and we’re confident we’ve created a technically impressive uniform.”
Commenting on the relationship, working alongside PING Apparel, Pettersen said: “It’s been brilliant working with the entire team at PING on our current apparel. It’s important to look good, but also to feel good. In all products, we have excellent technical material that will give the players a great sense of stretch and dynamics in their golf swing.”
In addition to supplying the European Team tournament wear, PING Apparel will also have a range of limited-edition accessories and a full replica kit available to fans. They will be at retail from July 28 at www.pingeurope.com and the replica team kits will be available for purchase from August 25.
Consumers can also register at www.pingeurope.com/solheim-cup-2023-sign-up and be entered into a prize draw to win one of 23 Solheim Cup 2023 PING caps or visors.
