Sam Bennett, the reigning US Amateur champion, has turned professional and joined PING’s tour staff.
Bennett, 23, who makes his PGA Tour debut as a professional at this week’s Memorial Tournament, was previously under contract with PING through an NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) agreement which allows elite amateurs to accept sponsorship support before they turn professional.
Bennett is making his professional debut playing 14 PING clubs, including a G430 LST driver, G430 MAX 3-wood, G425 hybrid, i-Blade irons, Glide Forged Pro wedges and a PLD Oslo 4 putter.

Texas-born Bennett enjoyed an impressive college and amateur golf career, including being named SEC Golfer of the Year in 2022 and winning multiple times during his career at Texas A&M. At this year’s Masters he shot back-to-back 68s in the first two rounds, the lowest by an amateur since 1956, before finishing T16, which earned him low amateur honours for the week. As a result of his win at the US Amateur, he’s exempt for this month’s US Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
