The Old Nene Golf & Country Club in Cambridgeshire has been sold to Seaside Leisure Parks Ltd for an undisclosed amount.

The club, which was sold by Savills on behalf of a private vendor, boasts a 9-hole golf course, a 12-bay, floodlit driving range, and a two-storey clubhouse, which features a restaurant, bar/lounge areas, function rooms, kitchen and locker rooms.

The property, which is located about a mile from the historic market town of Ramsey, on the edge of the Cambridgeshire Fens, also benefits from seven lodges which provide high quality accommodation for visiting golfers, wedding guests and those visiting the area.

Kay Griffiths, Associate Director in the Leisure and Trade team at Savills, said: “We are delighted to have completed the sale of this popular golf and country club to Seaside Leisure Parks. The new owners will take over this successful business which has been developed into the thriving multipurpose venue it is today.”

A spokesman for Seaside Leisure Parks, which already owns five leisure parks on the Lincolnshire coast, said: “We are delighted to have purchased this wonderful property. We congratulate the previous owners on their vision and are also delighted to have in place the existing and dedicated team who we are sure will help us continue to develop the business. We look forward to welcoming existing customers and invite new customers to come and visit our wonderful new venue and experience the hospitality offered.”
