Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has further enhanced its reputation as one of Europe’s premier golf and real estate destinations after securing two of the leading accolades at the 2022 World Travel Awards.

The Spanish resort claimed the top honour in the ‘Europe’s Leading Resort Villas’ category for the second year in a row, while it also retained the title of ‘Spain’s Leading Villa Resort’ when the European winners were announced at a ceremony held in Mallorca this month.

Created in 1993, the World Travel Awards are renowned as the most prestigious and comprehensive in the global industry, with votes being cast by travel industry professionals and the public to reward the world’s top travel, tourism and hospitality brands.

Nestled in a 330-hectare valley and just a 50-minute drive south of Alicante, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club’s goal is to offer all its guests a unique luxury experience and has underlined its commitment to delivering the best service and amenities by unveiling an array of new and improved five-star facilities in the last 18 months.

As well as the addition of one new restaurant, an upgraded luxury beach club and carrying out a significant upgrade of its 18-hole championship golf course, the resort has also launched two new real estate developments – adding the Lima and Kumquat communities to its burgeoning property portfolio.

Francisco Moreno, Real Estate Manager at Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, said: “It’s an amazing achievement to win both awards again, and this type of recognition is reward for the continued hard work and dedication of all the team to make Las Colinas one of the most sought-after golf and residential developments in Europe.”
