YUMAX Golf, one of Europe’s leading golf distribution companies, has been appointed master sales agency for British sportswear brand Castore in the UK and EU within green grass golf retailers and resort channels.

Castore was founded in 2015 by brothers Tom and Phil Beahon and has made enormous strides in the sports apparel market, creating partnerships with athletes and teams such as 2022 US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick, Andy Murray, multiple Olympic swimming champion Adam Peaty, and numerous top-flight football clubs, including Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Glasgow Rangers, as well as England Cricket, McLaren F1 and, most recently, Red Bull F1 Racing.

The partnership with YUMAX Golf will showcase Castore’s innovations in golf performance clothing, including shirts, trousers, sweaters, waterproofs and golf accessories.

Castore’s 2022/23 golf apparel collection boasts a range of garments featuring advanced engineering and unique technical fabrics. Designed to optimise freedom of movement in all conditions, whilst delivering unrivalled comfort, fit and performance. The brand use laser-cut ventilation to enhance breathability, sources unique fabrics from family-owned Italian mills, and uses techniques which minimise weight to deliver the best possible product to give their athletes an edge.

Matt Fitzpatrick became a Castore brand ambassador just before the Masters in April, and has since gone on to become a major champion and a world top-10 player.

With work already underway across the UK and Ireland to embed the Castore brand with key accounts and retail partners, YUMAX Golf is looking to move into the next phase of strategy with the role out of 2022/23 product to its European network in selected markets.

Dan Moneypenny, Director of Wholesale at Castore, said: “As we head in to 2023, wholesale becomes one of the key strategic pillars that will help drive the continued growth of Castore, and the golf category plays a significant part of this. As a premium performance sports brand, we want to partner with category leading retailers, as well as premium golf clubs and resorts, and partnering with industry experts YUMAX is the perfect way to help us achieve our ambitions.”

Roger Wolfe, CEO of YUMAX Golf, said: “It has been a long time since the YUMAX team has been blown away by the quality of a company’s products and ambition within the clothing space. Castore has set the bar very high when it comes to high quality performance clothing to suit multiple sports and we are very excited to be a part of their ‘Better Never Stops’ journey.”
