Stuburt, the British footwear experts founded in 1870 has announced the re-signing of European Tour star Darren Clarke.
Clarke, who has been instrumental in the design of the Stuburt DCC Classic golf shoe, has signed a new multi-year agreement. He is now joined on tour on by fellow Northern Irishmen Graeme McDowell and Gareth Maybin, the newest members of Team Stuburt.
The news come as Stuburt announces the launch of a number of new colours to highly-successful Darren Clarke Collection (DCC) of shoes for 2010. Designed in-conjunction with the Ulsterman, the shoes remain one of the only handmade classic golf shoes on the market today.
Competitive golfers will appreciate the traditional design, sophistication and craftsmanship of the DCC Classics. The Stuburt Classics are a beautifully crafted range of shoes available in two styles: a plain toe saddle style and a wing-tipped brogue.
New colour ways white/black/navy and white/tan join the hugely successful white/charcoal/red, black patent and all white in the line up for 2010, alongside improvements to the sockliner design including a shock absorbing heel pad for cushioned comfort and lasting feel.
Each pair of DCC shoes is individually crafted with a premium full grain leather upper design, fully leather lined and features a 360 degree welted construction. The classic shoe construction technique involves stitching the upper and the outsole together providing the most consistent fit.
Presented in a luxurious draw slide box, with each shoe carefully wrapped in its own Stuburt Darren Clarke branded cloth draw string bag, the Stuburt DCC Classics retail at £179.99 from all good stockists.
Stuburt continues its remarkable rise in the game with the launch of their new range of technical performance apparel at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, 28-30 January 2010, alongside their collection of footwear and rainwear for SS10 on booth #1217.
