Yamaha Motor (UK) Ltd has signed an unprecedented five-year agreement to supply golf cars and utility vehicles to the St Andrews Links Trust.
Andrew Smith, the sales and marketing director at Yamaha said, “We are delighted to have been chosen as the golf car and utility vehicle supplier by the Trust at what is the most recognisable golf complex in the world. Our agreement will include Yamaha supporting the junior golf association via ‘Team St Andrews’.”
“Yamaha have worked very hard with our staff over the last nine months,” said Alan McGregor, general manager at the St Andrews Links Trust. “Our product and service requirements have been achieved.”
In 1994 Yamaha were the first golf cars allowed on the Links. The Trust has already started taking delivery of the fleet, which comprises G-MAX petrol and 48 volt electric golf cars.
