Paultons Golf Centre in Hampshire has achieved the SafeGolf club accreditation from England Golf, demonstrating its commitment to safeguarding juniors, young adults and vulnerable adults.
The club and its PGA Teaching Professionals operate a thriving Junior section, including numerous initiatives designed to grow participation amongst children in the local area.
In 2021, Paultons GC launched a new Junior Pathway initiative which focusses on the nurturing of grassroots talent with a carefully structured and goal-based programme catering for every junior golfer from total beginner to advanced level. The club also works with local schools to educated students on the many benefits that golf can bring to their lives.
David Green, Paultons GC’s Director of Golf, who has led the club’s push to SafeGolf, said: “We are a forward-thinking club that welcomes everyone to come and enjoy our facilities. This award helps us to spread that message as well as inform people that children are safe and secure here whilst they are under the care of our staff.”
The award was presented to Paultons Golf Centre by Kate Dymott, England Golf’s South/Southwest Club Support Officer. “I’m delighted that Paultons Golf Centre has achieved SafeGolf and that its efforts to grow the game can be nationally recognised.”
