Nippon Shaft celebrated its 260th win on the professional tours for players using its Modus Series of steel shafts following Talor Gooch’s victory at The PGA Tour’s RSM Classic.
The 30-year-old American used N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour 125 X flex steel shafts in his irons to help fashion a tournament record tying total of 22-under par, with a final round of 64 at the Seaside Course at Sea Island Resort.
The Oklahoma State alumnus won by three shots, earned $1.296m in prize money and jumped to the top spot on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup standings. It was his third top-five finish in just six starts.
“Nippon Shaft is excited to congratulate the winner of this year’s RSM Classic, who hit an impressive 16 greens and went bogey-free in his final round,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “His steadfast hard work and growing confidence have him playing great golf, and we are pleased that he trusts Nippon Shaft products to help him play his best.”
More than 200 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series of steel shafts.
