Consumer golf show bunkered LIVE is coming to England for the first time in 2022, with Birmingham’s NEC due to the host the three-day show from February 18-20.
Formerly known as the Scottish Golf Show, which first launched in 2006, the event has been rebranded bunkered LIVE following its move into England, with a second event scheduled to take place at the SEC in Glasgow from March 18-20.
Event organiser PSP Media Group has revealed that all of the indoor driving bays available at the NEC have sold out following strong demand from golf’s leading brands, including Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Mizuno, Srixon, Wilson, Cobra, Lynx, Yonex and PXG. Visitors to the show can test the latest equipment, including clubs and balls, for free, in the purpose-built indoor range.
Paul Grant, managing director of PSP Media Group, said ““We have been asked for many years to bring our successful golf show platform to other locations and the natural break in live events over the last 12 months gave us time to explore all the options. The audience for bunkered is growing fastest in England, making Birmingham’s NEC the perfect venue to host the new bunkered Live event. We are thrilled to reveal the 2022 shows schedules and a seamless integration of our core golf brand, bunkered, that will continue to be the exclusive media partner of these exciting new events.”
“Golf fans across the UK visiting bunkered Live will be treated to a variety of interactive experiences ranging from top class instruction to innovative indoor golf challenges set to test the skills of golfers of all levels and ability. Guaranteed to be a great day out for all.”
Grant added: “We are delighted that the prospect of bunkered LIVE coming to England has captured the imagination of the golf industry in the UK. Having these global brands in attendance ensure all visitors to our show will have the unique opportunity to not only chat with the brand technicians, but also test all their clubs, consult on custom fittings and take part in fun, interactive activities all under one roof.”
The organisers also have confirmed that online retailer golfgeardirect will be the show’s exclusive retail partner, allowing visitors the chance to buy apparel and golf merchandise on site.
Paul Street, Managing Director of golfgeardirect, said: “We are excited to be bunkered Live’s exclusive preferred retail partner and we are looking forward to welcoming thousands of visitors each day into our purpose-built 500m2 shop, where we guarantee we will have a deal for golfers of all levels. To be associated with this great event on its first staging in England is great news for us and great news for golfers coming to the show.”
