Leading golf apparel brand Galvin Green has placed its focus on sustainability with its comprehensive 2022 Part One collection of garments crafted from technical fabrics that maintain the highest standards in environmental protection.

Having recently won the prestigious 2021 Sports Technology Award for Sustainability, the pioneering Swedish apparel brand has continued to push its ‘green’ credentials even further to produce a collection of high-performance garments that is nearly 90% sustainable overall.

Designed for golfers by golfers, the latest range includes 39 new garments that enable men and women to perform at the highest level even in the most extreme playing conditions.

“The 2022 Part One collection raises our environmental credentials to even greater heights and truly highlights our commitment to a ‘Greener’ future,” said CEO Nicholai Stein. “Our promise to never compromise remains a prime focus as we seek to offer serious golfers the highest performing apparel available, whilst also reflecting our values of responsibility to minimise social and environmental impact.

“Through close partnership with leading suppliers across the world, we have produced a stunning selection of garments that we are confident will prove popular to both men and women, plus our ever-growing youthful audience,” he added.

Balancing comfort, style and performance in a sustainable manner, Galvin Green designers have formed the collection using environmental Bluesign-approved fabric or certified by OEKO-TEX 100 to cover thread and buttons as well as fabric.

Men’s Collection

Placing an importance on the ability to play in the most demanding weather conditions, garments in the latest collection have been designed to ensure complete freedom of movement during the swing, without compromising on looks and comfort.

Of the 23 GORE-TEX jackets available in the latest men’s waterproof range, the new tri-blend ARMSTRONG Paclite leads the way and offers a sporty look. Constructed using Bluesign approved fabric and weighing just 280 grams, the 100% waterproof and windproof jacket features stretch technology, plus shaped sleeves and an adjustable chest width for ease of movement in the swing. Available in five bold colourways, the jacket also incorporates front pockets into the design.

An addition to the highly versatile men’s INTERFACE-1 range, the LIAM offers exceptional windproof capabilities, along with a water repellent finish. Crafted from Bluesign approved fabric, the jacket features Thermore padding on the shoulders and back for added warmth.

The DAXTON is new to the line of INSULA sweaters that incorporate fabric crafted from recycled plastic bottles and delivers incredible warmth and breathability. Using this sustainable fabric – manufactured in a solar powered factory in Italy – provides a soft and stretchy feel, plus reduces energy consumption by 75% and water consumption by up to 86% compared to the conventional polyester manufacturing process. It comes in eight vibrant colour options, including the recently introduced Golf Green colour tone.

Spearheading the popular VENTIL8 PLUS shirt range, the MATHEW features broken textures to offer a supremely modern look. As with all VENTIL8 PLUS garments, the shirt provides UV 20+ protection and comes in a Quickdry stretch fabric for improved comfort. Other new styles that display bold colours include the floral MALIK and pixel-design MACK.

Women’s Collection

In the women’s GORE-TEX range, the popular AILA Paclite jacket has been matched up with the all-new ALINA Paclite trousers – weighing just 320 grams – to form the ultimate lightweight rain suit. Providing 100% waterproof protection, the garments are adjustable to ensure the perfect fit and are available in an array of attractive colours.

New to the women’s INTERFACE-1 range, the sleek LORELLE offers elegant looks both on and off the course, without compromising on features. The windproof and water-repellent jacket incorporates super-soft and extremely breathable fabric to ensure it can be layered with other garments in the collection. Offering a level #3 warming effect – the highest level of warmth – the jacket is available in the standout Navy and Black colours.

The extensive INSULA collection is comprised of 20 options, including the new DONNA hoodie that doubles up as a great option to wear off the course. Crafted from soft stretchy Bluesign approved fabric, the garment features a drawstring at the base of the hood for the perfect fit, plus two front pockets for added comfort.

A key focus in the VENTIL8 PLUS garments is the trendy patterned combinations on offer to women golfers. The extremely breathable MARISSA shirt and MARIE skort deliver an eye-catching look in the Blush Pink/Black/White and Surf Blue/Navy/Pink colour combinations. Providing UV 20+ protection, the OEKO-TEX certified garments ensure golfers can remain cool thanks to the light, soft and comfortable feel to the outfit.
