Callaway Golf and St Andrews Links Trust have announced an extension to its long-standing commercial partnership with the launch of a new money-can’t-buy competition prize.
The two companies have worked together for more than a decade, with Callaway installing a state-of-the-art Performance Centre within the St Andrews Links Trust Golf Academy.
Callaway also supplies its very latest equipment for rental across the seven St Andrews Links Trust courses and supplies balls to the Academy’s driving range.
The St Andrews Links Junior Golf Association, which has inspired and developed more than 3,000 young golfers over the past 10 years, also benefits from Callaway’s ongoing support.
To celebrate the on-going relationship, Callaway and St Andrews Links Trust are launching a competition for a 2-ball to win The Epic Old Course Experience.
This very special prize also coincides with St Andrews Links Trust’s ‘Old Tom 200’ celebrations, marking 200 years since the birth of the golfing legend and four-time Open Champion, Old Tom Morris, who was born in the town and played a pivotal role in developing the game.
The winner of The Epic Old Course Experience will win a bucket-list golf break to St Andrews that includes:
– Three rounds of golf on the Old Course, New Course and Jubilee Course.
– A Callaway Epic Driver and Odyssey Putter fitting at the Callaway Performance Centre at St Andrews.
– A one-hour lesson in the Golf Academy on “How to play the Old Course”.
– Two dozen Callaway Chrome Soft Tom Morris celebratory golf balls.
– Limited Edition Old Tom Morris Wedge and Bag Tag.
– TravisMathew golf apparel.
– Callaway Golf Bag and Headwear.
– Overnight bed & breakfast accommodation in St Andrews.
Neil Howie, President and Managing Director of Callaway Golf EMEA, commented: “The St Andrews Links name is known and respected around the world and stands for a commitment to quality, excellence and enjoyment of golf. Callaway shares these same values, which is why it is completely fitting, and an honour, to continue our longstanding partnership. As we also celebrate golf courses reopening across the UK, this seemed like a wonderful opportunity for us to offer up a once in a lifetime golf experience.”
Danny Campbell, Commercial Director St Andrews Links Trust, said: “We have been proud to partner with Callaway Golf for more than a decade and are delighted to celebrate our extension today. Renewing our Partnership is particularly satisfying as it demonstrates that we have not only delivered on our shared expectations but gone beyond them, which is always our ambition.
“Our partnership is built on a commitment to golf’s value of integrity, collaboration and the pursuit of excellence. We will continue to work together to increase engagement and inclusion in golf, showcasing the many opportunities that lie ahead for our sport.”
