Rockliffe Hall appoints new Director of Golf

Rockliffe Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort in County Durham has appointed experienced golf industry professional Callum Nicoll as its new Director of Golf & Estates.

With a 20-year proven track record of success in the golf industry, Nicoll also boasts nine years international experience in the Middle East, where where he was a senior team member responsible for hosting three Abu Dhabi HSBC Championships at Abu Dhabi Golf Club, and also worked at the Els Club in Dubai.

Nicoll joins from his most recent position as Director of Golf at London Golf Club in Kent, where he was responsible for a 36-hole course delivering 44,000 rounds per annum. Nicoll has also held senior golf positions two of Scotland’s most prestigious courses, Turnberry and Prestwick.

In his new role Nicoll will oversee the Rockliffe Hall’s award-winning 18-hole championship golf course. Designed by Hawtree, the world-renowned course architects, the course is one of the most challenging in Europe and is set on the 375-acre Rockliffe Hall estate.

Nicoll said: “Rockliffe Hall is an incredible estate with world-class facilities and is renowned for its championship golf course. I am thrilled to be leading Rockliffe Hall on the next part of its golfing journey. Alongside my first-class and hardworking team, we have high goals for the future and in the meantime look forward to welcoming both existing players and those new to the sport.”
