Women & Golf, the strongest media brand in women’s golf, has appointed Emma Ballard as its Editor with effect from 1st April, 2021. Emma will replace Harriet Shephard who is returning to live in Abu Dhabi.
Emma, previously Director of Digital at Medi8 Limited and a recent graduate of the R&A’s Women in Golf Leadership Programme, will bring a wealth of online and social media experience to the role, along with a desire to broaden the appeal of golf to women, and help continue the fantastic growth Women & Golf has achieved since its successful relaunch last October.
Emma commented “I’m really excited to be joining Women & Golf. I have long been an advocate for women’s golf and women’s sport in general and I hope my passion and enthusiasm will be evident from the start. I am relishing the opportunity to continue to grow the exposure of all aspects of women’s golf, building on the fantastic work that Harriet and the team have done in the last year and ultimately bringing new eyes to Women & Golf content
Kim Wild, chairman of Women & Golf said, “I’m delighted to welcome Emma to the team and we look forward to working with her to continue the growth of our business and encourage more women and girls into the sport.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Harriet for her fantastic contribution over the last year and wish her well in her return to the Middle East.”
