Adventurous Journeys Capital Partners has announced the launch of Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts, a new collection of luxury hotels on the east and west coast of Scotland.

Marine & Lawn properties are now accepting bookings for summer 2021, with upcoming openings including Rusacks St Andrews in St Andrews, and the Marine North Berwick in North Berwick, Scotland. Marine Troon will also be open throughout 2021 and will officially join the Marine & Lawn collection in 2022, when its renovations are completed.

“We’re excited to open the first Marine & Lawn properties this summer and provide travellers with distinct, once-in-a-lifetime experiences along the storied coasts of Scotland,” said Ben Weprin, AJ Capital Partners founder and CEO. “Our team has long been enamoured with the rugged beauty of the region and the rich history of Scottish golf, and these properties will sing in celebration of these distinguished traditions. From

avid golfers and bucket list travellers to those looking for a leisurely long weekend, our properties will offer a welcome respite for all.”

AJ Capital has partnered with restaurant developer White Rabbit Projects to launch and run all food and beverage outlets at Rusacks and Marine North Berwick. Each hotel will offer distinct destination dining options. With input from local suppliers throughout Scotland, the range of culinary offerings will encompass restaurant, bar and café concepts as well as a rooftop bar and restaurant at Rusacks St Andrews that will overlook the Old Course and West Sands Beach.

“We’re committed to creating spaces worthy of the destinations they call home,” said Phillip Allen, AJ Capital Partners Chief Development Officer, International Markets. “Each Marine & Lawn property will distinctly balance past with present, providing a level of excellence in service as distinguished as the prestigious golf courses synonymous with the region.”

Rusacks St Andrews – opening June 2021
Rusacks St Andrews will offer 123 guest rooms, as well as a range of culinary offerings, including a traditional Scottish pub and the rooftop bar and restaurant overlooking the 1st and 18th holes of the Old Course at St Andrews and the North Sea. The renovated property includes a 42,000 square foot expansion which will house additional guest rooms and the rooftop concept. Room-only rates start from £219.

Marine North Berwick – opening June 2021
Marine North Berwick will offer 84 guest rooms, two unique food and beverage concepts and 6,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event spaces. The hotel will also offer a spa, pool and fitness centre. As part of a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation, the ‘Grand Old Lady’ will be restored to her former glory as a luxury landmark on Scotland’s Golf Coast. The hotel overlooks the 16th hole of the historic West Links course at North Berwick Golf Club and boasts scenic views of the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock. Room rates begin at £189.

Marine Troon – opening in 2021
Joining the Marine & Lawn collection in 2022, Marine Troon on the Ayrshire Coast will be open throughout 2021, but will officially join the Marine & Lawn Collection in 2022. With 89 guest rooms, the hotel will offer two unique food and beverage concepts, expansive meeting and event spaces and a new fitness and leisure centre with an indoor pool, squash court, sauna and steam facilities. The hotel will provide unobstructed views of the 1st and 18th fairways of Royal Troon’s Old Course, which has played host to nine Open Championships.

Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts will join AJ Capital Partners’ growing portfolio of hotels throughout the UK. AJ Capital also owns the Randolph Hotel in Oxford and the Cambridge Hotel in Cambridge, both of which will relaunch as part of Graduate Hotels in summer 2021.
