Danish-based software company Players 1st has appointed former GolfBox CEO Christian Faergemann as a new strategic advisor.
Faergemann has a strong resume within the golf industry, where he spent 13 years as CEO of GolfBox, which provides administration software for the golf industry. Players 1st is based in Aarhus, Denmark and specialises in measuring customer experiences within sports.
Players 1st CEO Morten Bisgaard said: “Christian has established a truly global network and an enormous amount of knowledge which will help us maintain our current momentum. In only a few years, we have positioned ourselves as a market leader in measuring and visualising customer feedback in sports and we are just scratching the surface. I’m extremely pleased that Christian sees our potential and thinks we’re a good match for him. With him on board, we are further fuelling our ambitious international growth strategy.”
Faergemann distinguished himself as top executive at GolfBox by taking the company from start-up to an internationally recognised company, providing software services to over 20 countries. It culminated in the sale of GolfBox in 2016, after which he remained as CEO until 2020. At Players 1st, he joins the board as a strategic advisor, where he looks forward to help drive the business further.

Players 1st was established in 2013 and today has more than 2,000 clubs as customers across 10 markets. The company currently employs a team of 12, and in addition to the Aarhus HQ, has offices in England and the USA.
