The German PGA has put together a programme of speakers of the highest quality for the PGA of Europe’s Teaching and Coaching Conference in Munich in October 2003.
World-renowned authorities, including short game guru Dave Peltz and golf psychologist Dr Richard Coop, will feature in the sixth PGAE Teaching and Coaching Conference, organized and hosted by the PGA of Germany and staged in the ICM in Munich under the theme: “The Complete Golfer”.
Hank Haney from Dallas and Dr. Ralph Mann are other acclaimed specialists who have accepted an invitation to make presentations while Frank Thomas will present a paper discussing the effect of technology on the golfer, past , present and future.
Altogether fifteens speakers will be addressing issues of technique, fitness, psychology and equipment.
The TCC will take place on 2nd to 4th October, immediately preceding the PGAE-endorsed Golf Europe 2003, which takes place again at Munich’s New Trade Centre part of the same complex.
More than 800 golf professionals from all over Europe are expected to take part with many additional guests from the USA. advantage of the TCC following the success of the previous ones which took place in France, Switzerland, Italy and Spain (twice).
“We are very proud to host the Teaching and Coaching Conference for the first time,” said Stefan Quirmbach, president of the PGA of Germany. “We are also confident that it will live up to all expectations.”
Donato di Ponziano, the PGAE director who was responsible for previous TCC’s, is a member of this year’s organising committee. “We began the Teaching and Coaching Conference series in 1990 in order to help standardise and improve the development of educational knowledge and methods among the professionals in all of our member countries,” he said. “Since then, the growth of golf across Europe and the increasing number of highly-qualified teachers and coaches in the various member countries bears testimony to the success achieved so far.
“It is important that this work continues in line with the growing importance of our sport and I will be very pleased to be able to make any necessary contribution to support the PGA of Germany in progressing the series in this way.”
All PGA professionals are cordially invited to take part and an early registration is advisible since a high demand is anticipated.
