The English Golf Union has launched a comprehensive Golf Development section on its website that will provide a range of information and guidance for beginners and newcomers to the game of golf.
Fundamental information can sometimes be overlooked when getting started – such as language, equipment, handicapping, where to play and joining a club, all of which can inhibit potential golfers from even starting out in the game. The Golf Development section will contain all you need to know and much more on aspects of getting started and sustaining participation, including frequently asked questions, statistics and other useful links. This valuable resource will be complemented by the EGU’s’Get into Golf’ booklet due out early next year which will be used as a promotional and informational tool to increase people’s awareness of the game and what they need to know about how to get started.
The Golf Development section of the website is just one of many EGU initiatives within the’Get into Golf’ structure that provides a clear pathway from introduction into the game all the way through to golf club membership and beyond.
