The publication of 3D Golf’s brochure for 2003 underlines the company’s position as a leader in the UK market with new destinations in several exciting regions, including Dubai, Tobago, Barbados and the Seychelles.
Although the Costa del Sol and the Algarve remain the most popular destinations and are often the number one choice 3D Golf have, over the last 3 years, established a wide choice of less well known golfing venues in Spain, which include the Costa Brava, Costa Blanca, Costa Almeria and the Costa Calida. This gives the keen golfer an opportunity to sample new golfing pastures. The Costa Brava deserves special mention because of its quality of golf courses, which include Pals, PGA Catalunya and Emporda, all of which are hosting the PGA qualifying school next month.
The recent addition of Turkey and the resort of Belek has attracted a lot of attention. The weather is as pleasant as you will find in Europe in winter months, with daytime temperatures never less than 20 degrees, whilst the golf courses are as good as any on the Algarve. The highlights are the National, Gloria and Nobilis. The Turkish Government is committed to expanding the courses on this coastline. Two more new courses are opening in the next six months and so by April 2003 there will be six courses in the region.
The exciting resort of Belle Mare Plage in Mauritius golf resort re-opens next month, after a six-month closure during the summer. The elegant 4 star hotel has been re-constructed and upgraded in all aspects. The golf course has been renamed the Legend and a second course, designed by Peter Allis and Rodney Wright, opens on 1st November. Residents of Belle Mare Plage receive complimentary daily green fees and the new look Belle Mare will now stand out as the number one venue in the Indian Ocean and at a very affordable price.
In their new French programme 3D have expanded into the Paris/Chantilly region. This offers golfers another option to sample, away from the relatively crowded Le Touquet. The main advantages of travelling to Chantilly – which is very close to Paris – are that it is only two hours from Calais and close to the A16 motorway, the courses are highly ranked in Europe and they are not yet well-known or busy. Chantilly Vineuil, Apremont and Paris International are three of Europe’s best courses while Chantilly itself is rich in culture and has France’s most elegant chateau.
A newspaper has been launched by 3D Golf to keep the club golfer up to date. This new publication will be distributed to all private golf clubs in the UK every 4 months. The next edition will be available in January 2003.
