Pitchfix, a global market leader in switchblade divot tools has launched four new products to extend its’ range of green repair tools.
Greenkeeper Pro, PickCup, PickCup Promo and AquaBrush join the leading brand’s award winning product range
These new products will broaden the company’s product portfolio beyond divot tools. In addition to the Greenkeeper Pro divot repair tool, the PickCup, PickCup Promo and AquaBrush all share the same high-quality design characteristics of previous products but are targeted at new areas within the golf world.
“We’re excited to introduce four new quality items to our extensive, award-winning product line,” said Bart Fokke, Pitchfix CEO. “We had a fantastic reaction to our launch at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando and the Golf Industry Show (GIS) too. PGA professionals, superintendents, greenkeepers and course owners at the PGA Merchandise Show and GIS all commented on the innovation that our design team has shown in developing these new products.”
“We have worked with course superintendents and greenkeepers all over the world to develop a new collection of products that meet their needs and comply with rules of the game to continue to help protect course conditions, speed up play and help clubs cut maintenance costs and increase revenue.”
The Greenkeeper Pro is the most complete ball mark repair tool on the market. Designed in collaboration with green-care professionals, the long-handled repair tool, utilizes Pitchfix’s Repairtech teardrop pin technology to enable fast and effective ballmark repairs without the need to bend over.
“The Greenkeeper Pro is designed to save time and stress on the repairers back by allowing them to repair multiple ball-marks without bending over – so that green-care professionals can complete this essential daily task quickly and with minimal effort,” says Fokke. The Greenkeeper Pro is now the most complete repair tool available for professional greenkeepers and golfers alike.
The 33” GreenkeeperPro is constructed with a rubberized handle, carbon fibre shaft and a spring-loaded aluminium CNC head with stainless steel ‘teardrop’ pins. With a single impression on the handle into the ball mark, the stainless-steel prongs enter the ground and then retract, leaving a level surface and a perfectly fixed ball mark without any bending down.
The Greenkeeper Pro comes in a two-pack with each tool designed for varying green conditions, it was developed using feedback from green-care experts. There’s a choice of models suitable for; Firm/ Dry, Wet / Soft conditions and a special edition for Links style course conditions with sandy-green soil.
PickCup is a device designed to improve the efficiency of removing golf balls from the cup while maintaining the integrity of the grass surrounding the hole.
The creation of PickCup is in large part a result of the new R&A and USGA rule that now allows flagsticks to remain in the hole while putting on the green. Many golfers, when removing the ball from the cup, will insert their hand or putter between the flag stick and the edge of the hole, creating damage to the hole edge or lip. This results in unnecessary damage to the hole increasing and the need for moving the hole more often, creating extra repair and maintenance work.
The PickCup solution, is easy to install and replace, has a soft edge to protect the grass around the hole and easily fits on any sized flagstick. PickCup helps improves speed of play, eliminates damage to the edge of the hole, reduces the need for new pin placements and eliminates the requirement to bend over to retrieve balls.
Unlike some competing products, the PickCup is attached firmly directly to the flagstick thus complying with R&A and USGA guidelines mandating the requisite distance any cup insert must be from the surface of the cup so not to interfere in anyway with play. “We took care to design PickCup to comply with the necessary rules of the game for competitive golf,” remarks Fokke.
The PickCup also comes in a Promo Edition. The tray insert can feature a branded lining that many customers are using to generate revenue for their club. The PickCup Promo can be used to give unrivalled marketing exposure on every hole to every player.
“Customers are seeing this as a real money-maker,” explains Fokke. “You can choose to brand the tray insert with your own club logo, promote your swing studio services or lease the space to corporate golf day clients or hole sponsors.”
The ease of interchanging the cup inserts means that the message can remain for a round, a day, a month or a whole season.
AquaBrush is a new device for all golf bags. AquaBrush is an innovative club cleaning brush, fitted with interchangeable and replaceable brush-heads and a water reservoir. Press the button on top of AquaBrush and a spray of water shoots out and on to the club face. Wipe it clean with a towel or the brush attached at the base of the grip.
AquaBrush is available in multiple colours and as with Pitchfix’s range of award-winning divot tools, can be branded with a club crest, tournament brand or logo. It’s anticipated to be popular new addition for Pro Shops and Corporate Golf Days and outings. “Customers who stock our range of award-winning divot tools are now adding the AquaBrush to their offerings too,” comments Fokke.
