Golf Genius Software has acquired the assets of golfscoring.net, Canada’s leading provider of web-based golf league software.
Founded in 2006 by Pat Alpaugh, golfscoring.net currently supports over 300 leagues through its cloud-based platform.
“Since the founding of Golf Genius Software in 2009, we have believed that golf leagues are important for the health of the game and a great way for golfers to enjoy both the competitive and social aspects of golf,” said Michael Zisman, Golf Genius CEO, pictured above.
“We are very impressed by what the golfscoring.net team has accomplished and look forward to integrating their unique capabilities into the Golf Genius tournament management platform, which also has many capabilities that support golf leagues.”
Golf Genius has offered its tournament management system in Canada for several years and has sales and support staff resident in Canada however, the golfscoring.net customer base will substantially add to the number of Canadian clubs being served with Golf Genius products.
Today, Golf Genius and golfscoring.net have several customers in common. Until Golf Genius fully integrates the two systems, these customers will have access to golfscoring.net at no additional cost above the Golf Genius TMS Club Premium annual subscription fee.
“This will be an exciting journey whereby our customers will now have many new features when it comes to managing their league and tournament operations,” stated Pat Alpaugh of golfscoring.net.
“Golf Genius has built an impressive platform that serves over 8,800 clubs in the US, Canada and around the world. We’re pleased that the innovations in our platform will now be available to this very large base of customers.”
Golf Genius expects to complete the integration of the platforms in 2020 and offer a single, integrated platform in 2021 and thereafter.
