Stewart Golf is spreading the love this Valentine’s Day (today, 14th February) with a new video telling the tale of a single golfer looking for love… In Stewart Golf’s normal tongue-in-cheek approach, they have managed to link golf trolleys to speed dating using the tag line: “X9 Follow – Always Game”, perhaps you can piece the rest together?
This video is designed to run alongside their Valentine’s Day promotion which started last Friday (Feb 7th) and will run until the end of this Sunday (Feb 16).
Stewart Golf are aiming to set golfers up with a £150 voucher for anyone buying a new X9 trolley. The Gloucestershire-based premium golf trolley manufacturer is also cutting the price of its R1-S push trolley from £179 to £149.
The offers are available online and Stewart Golf CEO Mark Stewart said: “Valentine’s Day shouldn’t just be about buying someone else a present: why shouldn’t golfers be able to buy themselves something special too?
“Golfers love golf, often more than their partners – even if they’re not likely to admit it to them! We had some fun making a little video about how much some of our customers love our trolleys.”
The first Stewart Golf product launched in 2004 was the X1 Remote, a futuristic-looking golf trolley that specialised in cutting edge technology, on-course performance and space age looks. A golf trolley selling for more than £1,000 was unheard of at the time, yet the launch was a success and the company followed up with the £2,500 F1 Lithium in 2008, which featured an integrated golf bag and folded small enough to fit in the boot of a Porsche 911.
Constant research and development in new technologies and manufacturing processes is the hallmark of the company: the latest £1,499 X9 Follow model is golf’s equivalent of a self-driving car.
The company also expanded its range into non-powered golf trolleys and the £179 R1-S Push, which like the X9 Follow, is hand-built in Gloucestershire. It uses a patented rack-and-pinion folding mechanism to make it one of the smallest folding trolleys on the market.
Stewart Golf has consistently outgrown the golf market generally and employs 16 full-time staff. Historically the business exports approximately one-third of its production to more than 40 countries all over the world including Sweden, Canada, South Korea and New Zealand but became a net exporter in 2018 thanks to growth in the USA.
