The recently united Whittlebury Hall & Spa and Whittlebury Park businesses have announced that they will operate under the master brand of Whittlebury Park.
The new name and visual identity will reinforce Whittlebury’s ambition to become a landmark hospitality destination within the UK market, complementing its distinct and diverse range of services.
Northamptonshire-based creative marketing agency Bluestep Solutions were appointed to create a united brand identity, bringing together the history and the art of heritage of Whittlebury Park along with Whittlebury Hall, to further enhance their award-winning hospitality offer for its leisure and business guests.
During 2018, there was a significant amount of investment in Whittlebury’s facilities, including updating guest bedrooms and the catering facilities, as well as a £500,000 investment in the Leisure Club, which now boasts the latest state-of-the-art Technogym equipment.
Marc Webster, Whittlebury Park’s Commercial Director, commented: “This is a very exciting time for our business, our colleagues and our guests, as we continue to grow and develop. Whittlebury Park is a one-of-a-kind destination, and our foundations are formed within the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside. We thrive on the promise of excellence and variety and our willingness to provide this strengthens our capabilities, offering a truly authentic and memorable experience for all.”
Managing Director Charles Sargeant added: “As a well-established hospitality destination, we take pride in being a welcoming environment for all. We are a family-owned business steeped in history. This has solidified us as a highly desirable golfing destination, and we continue to push ourselves as a key and distinct location in the UK with a goal of being a destination venue of choice for both individuals and corporate clients, driving innovation across all market segments.”
The highlight among the numerous sporting facilities on offer is undoubtedly the 36 holes of championship golf, comprising two 18-hole courses, which are handily divided into four nine-hole loops to offer a wide variety of golfing challenges to suit large groups and societies.
Each course has a distinctive charm, with the Royal Whittlewood nine presenting a delightful combination of holes built around ancient woodlands and pretty lakes, while the Grand Prix course, whose holes are closest to famous Silverstone race track, offers a stern test for the serious golfer. The 1905 course is renowned for its undulating greens, which place an emphasis on accurate approach play, while the Wedgewood course is packed full of challenging par threes and fours, and will reward good course management. Practice facilities include a 300-yard long, two-tiered driving range with 24 covered bays; two putting greens; practice fairway bunkers, and short game chipping area.
Whittlebury Park also boasts a 2 AA Rosette restaurant and a spa, while construction is currently under way for a range of luxury apartments.
