ISM signs South African star Justin Harding

Player management company International Sports Management has signed South African star Justin Harding.

The 33-year-old from Cape Town won four times in 2018 – twice on the Sunshine Tour and twice on the Asian Tour – and reached a career high of 65 in the world rankings earlier this month.

Harding is now competing on the European Tour on a regular basis and has finished seventh at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, 11th at the Saudi International and fourth at the ISPS Handa Vic Open – his 16th top-10 since the start of 2018 – in an impressive start to the year.

He joins fellow South Africans 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen and four-time European Tour winner George Coetzee on ISM’s roster of clients.

Harding said: “I’m really pleased to have signed with ISM and I’m looking forward to getting to work with them. Chubby Chandler and ISM have a long tradition of working with South African players and I’m delighted to be the latest one to be joining them. It is going to be an exciting year for me and I’m glad that I’ll be planning my future with ISM.”

Chandler established ISM in 1989, and the sports management company’s other clients also include former Open champion Darren Clarke and four-time European Tour winner Matt Wallace.

Chandler said: “Justin has always been a very good player but his rise over the last 12 months has been remarkable and he’s very highly thought of in South Africa, as a player and a person. He’s got a fascinating time ahead of him now and I’m excited that ISM will be a part of that.”
