Troon Adds Dubai Hills To Growing Middle East Portfolio

8.00am 24th October 2018 - Course Development

Golf course management company Troon has taken its total number of courses under its management in the Middle East to 16 following the signing of a new partnership with Dubai Hills Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai Hills is located in the heart of the Dubai Hills Estate – a lifestyle development that is a joint venture of Emaar Properties and Meraas.

To be overseen by Emaar Hospitality Group, the hospitality and leisure business of Emaar and the Expo 2020 Official Hotel & Hospitality Partner, Dubai Hills Golf Club is an par-72 championship course which has been carved out of the desert and meanders through a series of valleys and wadis, all of which is set against the backdrop of Dubai’s impressive city skyline.

“Very few courses in the world interact with a city in the way that Dubai Hills Golf Club does, as it is only 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai, and yet boasts amazing natural components too,” remarked Mark Chapleski, President of Troon International. “This facility is yet another testament to the expertise of Emaar and with the success that we have had with them on other UAE projects, we very much look forward to working together on Dubai Hills”

Olivier Harnisch, Chief Executive Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, said: “The Dubai Hills Golf Club is another spectacular addition to our portfolio of leisure attractions in Dubai, with the luxury golf resort Address Montgomerie, and the desert linkscourse Arabian Ranches Golf Club, already serving as must-visit destinations for golf enthusiasts. Working with Troon International will help to provide growth and development for the club and position it as another exceptional golfing destination in the heart of the city.”
