‘Whirlwind’ start to May

I believe that I may have mentioned my good fortune in participating in the recent media visit to Deere & Company in the U.S. – doing my bit to help “JD” to celebrate its remarkable 175th Birthday? This included a day at the Turfcare equipment factory in Horicon, Wisconsin, ¬†which just happened to coincide with the local community’s “Tornado Awareness Week”.

It is therefore somewhat ironic that the nearest I have come (ever) to the perils of a ‘Twister” was last Monday at home in Oxfordshire, England when a freak storm brought havoc and destruction across the County.

In terms of Golf Business News it’s also been a whirlwind start to May (did you see what I did there?). In fact considering most of us have had an extra day off, it is quite remarkable how many news items we carry this week. Enjoy the read.

Enter the name of the person, place, organisation or topic for which you are searching. Use as many words as required - there is no need to enclose them in quotation marks. Prefixing a search term with a hyphen/minus-sign will exclude results matching that term.

For example 'artificial -turf' will return results containing 'artificial' but not 'turf'.
