Open Benefits

January 9th, 2019

Released so close to Christmas that many may have missed it was the announcement that The 147th Open at Carnoustie delivered £120 million of economic benefit to Scotland. The attendance of 172,000 fans surpassed the previous totals and included more than 20,000 spectators under the age of 25.

The Open returns to Scotland in 2021, when it will be played in St Andrews, and of course in September Gleneagles will host the Solheim Cup.

Haste Ye Back.
