‘Whirlwind’ start to May

May 11th, 2012

I believe that I may have mentioned my good fortune in participating in the recent media visit to Deere & Company in the U.S. – doing my bit to help “JD” to celebrate its remarkable 175th Birthday? This included a day at the Turfcare equipment factory in Horicon, Wisconsin,  which just happened to coincide with the local community’s “Tornado Awareness Week”.

It is therefore somewhat ironic that the nearest I have come (ever) to the perils of a ‘Twister” was last Monday at home in Oxfordshire, England when a freak storm brought havoc and destruction across the County.

In terms of Golf Business News it’s also been a whirlwind start to May (did you see what I did there?). In fact considering most of us have had an extra day off, it is quite remarkable how many news items we carry this week. Enjoy the read.
