What mood are you in?

January 20th, 2012

It’s very clear from my mail box this week that there is a great deal of excitement about next week. ‘See you in Orlando’  and ‘ See you in Harrogate’ have been at the bottom of many of your messages.

Behind the excitement, however, there is some anxiety about what 2012 is going to bring. There are, of course, many things beyond our control: the economic state of the World and the weather to name but two of them.

We can, however, control our own moods and I believe that it is vital that we prevent a prevailing feeling of doom and gloom from getting the year off to a bad start. There are many reasons for optimism and as the golf industry gathers together next week, whether you are on International Drive or Ripon Road, we’ve got to ‘accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative’ .

By the way, for anyone who is interested, I’m in Harrogate and Ben Evans is GBN.com’s Orlando man of the moment.
