We Are Golf

May 28th, 2014

I do admire the work of the campaign, a coalition of the game’s leading associations and industry partners in the U.S. which, as we report today, makes an annual visit to Washington designed to showcase golf’s nearly $70 billion economy, $4 billion annual charitable impact, environmental value to local communities and fitness benefits and to share stories about the game’s almost 15,000 diverse small businesses, which employ more than 2 million people and have positive influences on ecology, tax revenues and tourism.

As we reported at the time, European Golf made a similar visit to Brussels just over one year ago but we know of no plans to repeat the exercise any time soon. On the other hand the We Are Golf campaign has been going to Washington every May for the last seven years…….
