Trophy Assets

September 16th, 2014

The Reignwood Group’s purchase of The Wentworth Club is the latest example of purchasers from overseas showing interest in very high profile British golfing properties – think Trump Turnberry and the purchase of The Belfry just over two years by an affiliate of KSL Capital Partners LLC, the American investment firm.

Chancellor George Osborne looks favourably upon all this inward investment as being good for jobs and, in the case of Wentworth, a sign of the growing relationship between Britain and China.

The Ryder Cup, however, is one ‘Trophy Asset’ that we would like to retain!
