Topical Targets

May 6th, 2015

When the new golf driving range at north-east England’s George Washington Golf Club opens tomorrow, the targets on the range will be life-size images of Conservative leader David Cameron, Labour chief Ed Miliband, the Liberal Democrat’s Nick Clegg and the UK Independence Party’s Nigel Farage. No doubt a few extra balls will be hit in their direction and a good time will be had by all.

Just a thought, but there are some countries in the world where making golf range targets from the images of politicians would be a very bad idea indeed. It’s good that the United Kingdom is not one of them – something to celebrate, whatever happens on Friday?
