The UK’s favourite golf event

October 19th, 2012

I am indebted to leading research company Repucom for the news that The Ryder Cup is the UK’s favourite golf event. The event also receives substantial attention even in countries with no direct interest in the result: Australia, South Africa and China to name a few.

‘Engaging’; ‘dramatic’ and ‘emotional’ are some of the qualities said to attract sports fans in general.

Wouldn’t it be great if the format chosen for Olympic Golf at Rio 2016 had the same attractions?
