The Price of Golf

April 8th, 2016

Concern that the price of golf is being driven lower and lower, to potentially damaging and unsustainable levels, is a topic of conversation at virtually every gathering of golf course owners and managers. Now Graham Yates, Chairman of England Golf, has written to member clubs promoting an Industry Green Fee and Golfer Registration Initiative.

This follows a similar exercise by the Golf Union of Wales, which attracted the support of a substantial majority, a move which could be followed by many golf unions/federations around the world because the debate is relevant in many countries.

So it’s well worth going to this article and downloading the arguments in favour of an industry-owned online marketing network and a national golfer data and loyalty programme. The details are attached, click here to download. Is this controversial? YES! Should it be discussed? ABSOLUTELY!
