The Next ‘King’ of Scotland

March 20th, 2015

It is great news that Arnold Palmer, nicknamed ‘The King’ and winner of seven Majors – including successive victories at The Open Championship in 1961 and 1962 – is to be the lead designer of a new course at Castle Stuart. It will surprise many, however, to learn that this is Mr Palmer’s first golf course in the Home of Golf.

The King will visit the site this summer, ahead of The Open at St Andrews, and is said to be excited at the prospect of creating a new course as homage to Scotland and to recognise his love of links golf. Wherever he goes, this Legend of the Game can be assured of a warm welcome.
