Sleepy in San Diego

February 8th, 2013

The Golf Industry Show in San Diego has been a great success, with more than 6,000 qualified buyers estimated to be in attendance, walking an exhibition area of approximately 175,000 square feet – official figures will be released soon. Bear in mind that most attendees have paid a lot of money to be here and you can understand why all exhibitors report a business-like attitude and no ‘time-wasters’.

Today sees the start of the two-day Exhibition organised by CMAA. It’s in the same exhibition centre as the Golf Industry Show – it would be great if it could also be on the same dates! The GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans says that his organisation is 100% behind a ‘team approach’ to golf club management so let’s hope that  everyone can get back on the same playing field sometime soon.
