However it’s a different matter when it makes possible a 44-suite extension to the Macdonald Rusacks Hotel in St Andrews. That location, overlooking the 18th green of The Old Course, with a rooftop restaurant, bar and terrace and spectacular views to the West Sands and beyond, will undoubtedly attract new visitors from all over the world, bringing new jobs and major benefits to the local economy – great news indeed.
