Open for Business

July 11th, 2014

The total prize money for The 2014 Open Championship next week will be £5,400,000. That is an impressive number but it is insignificant by comparison with the value of the total business that will be conducted in and around Royal Liverpool Golf Club from Monday onwards.

Apart from the economic benefit to the host area – estimated to be around £100 million – there is all the business that will be conducted in and around the tented village, as representatives from the golf industry around the world gather for what is probably the biggest networking opportunity at any Major Championship. GBN.com will be present of course. If you would like to meet, just send me an email.
