Not Many People Know This….

July 22nd, 2017

….. but Royal Birkdale provides a home for exceptional habitats and wildlife. When The Open Championship was last played on these world-famous links – July 2008 – The R&A published a hole-by-hole guide to the management of the links for wildlife and conservation. This is still as relevant today as it was nine years ago and is available to view and download.

To quote the Club, “Royal Birkdale is one of the most ecologically sensitive Open courses, recognised internationally for its outstanding nature conservation value”.

Golfers and spectators alike ‘enjoy the walk’.
