Nonagenarian Scores Hole-In-One

October 12th, 2016

Underlining the recent publicity given to the health benefits of golf, a 91-year-old member at Stoke Park near London scored a hole-in-one this week.

In fact it was John Bush’s third hole-in-one, the other two coming when he was a mere stripling in his eighties. Bush’s playing partners in his regular fourball are also veterans of the fairway: Dennis Child is 89, Bob Cook 90, and James Grant a youngster at just 88.

The combined age is 358.Which prompts the question: is this the oldest regular fourball in the UK, Europe or even the world? Readers of GBN.com are invited to comment!
