Most Readers Support SALTEX Move

August 27th, 2014

My postbag is running at nearly 3:1 in favour of the plan to hold SALTEX 2015 in November. The main reasons for this are first, that greenkeepers find it difficult to make time to visit a trade show at the beginning of September and, secondly, that, for some suppliers, November is a better fit to their ordering/manufacturing cycle than September.

The move to the NEC has met with a less enthusiastic reception. The expectation is that costs of both exhibiting and visiting will rise. One reader did point out, however, that the ‘night life’ in Birmingham is probably more lively than in Windsor – and you can’t argue with that!

Please read today’s ‘Opinion Piece’ from the Campaign for REAL Golf and take part in the Campaign survey It should only take around 15 minutes.
