Impressive Majorities

March 6th, 2015

At Royal St George’s more than 81% of the full members took part in the ballot and 90% voted in favour of ladies being eligible for membership.

In Scotland 58% of all clubs and eligible societies took part in the ballot about the proposal to amalgamate the Scottish Golf Union and the Scottish Ladies’ Golfing Association and 97% voted in favour. This is significant evidence that the world of golf is changing, perhaps rather more quickly than anyone previously expected!
