Golf Is Good for You

March 9th, 2016

Last week we reported that the launch of National Golf Month will emphasise the benefits of golf to the nation’s health. This was a key message to come out of the HSBC Golf Business Forum in Shanghai last November where Dr Roger Hawkes and Dr Omar Malik spoke about the work being done at the World Golf Foundation, the R&A and the European Tour to link playing the game with physical, mental and social well-being. There is some more information at including Twitter and Facebook links.

Dr Hawkes even suggested that life and medical insurance companies should charge lower premiums to golfers! Wouldn’t that be nice?
