Golf is for the birds (and the butterflies….)

June 21st, 2016

News of the R&A’s GreenLinks programme for The Open Championship at Royal Troon next month includes a welcome reminder of the benefits of sustainable golf course management. Much of the Championship will take place in an environmentally designated protection area – a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) – where recent audits have recorded 71 species of bird and 14 species of butterfly. For more information visit http://www.theopen.com/Spectators/GreenLinks

If you are lucky enough to be going to The Open then viewing this website in advance is essential.
