Christy O’Connor Jnr – RIP

January 8th, 2016

This week’s sad news that Christy O’Connor Jnr has died aged 67 has prompted two tributes on one in recognition of his career as Ryder Cup hero and star of the European and Senior Tours and one which reflects his talent in golf course design – a career that began in 1986 and was recognised by his admission to membership of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects.

In the words of the Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, who knew him well, “His premature passing will be a source of great sadness to many Irish people and all golfing fans in Ireland and across Europe.”
