With the New Year come new opportunities and this January, BTME 2019 will provide a huge opportunity for the golf greenkeeping and turf management industry to take the next vital steps as we work towards a brighter future.
In a recent edition of Golf Business News I spoke about the urgent need for a reform of the governance structure within golf. The responsibility for that sits at all levels of the game and we must each do our bit. BTME is a great opportunity for us to take those important first steps.
All sides of the golf industry have a part to play and many are represented at BTME. I’m particularly pleased that The R&A are placing such an emphasis on the importance of golf course management and at BTME they’ll host a discussion panel about Golf Course 2030. This is a major document that BIGGA and other industry bodies have worked alongside them to produce and it will shape the future of the UK’s golf courses.
There’s a huge number of other events taking part during BTME 2019 at the Harrogate Convention Centre. This newsletter features just a small amount of information about the whole week.
