Breaking News: Royal St George’s votes in women

Just as we go to press with this Newsletter comes an announcement that Open Championship venue Royal St George’s has voted to allow women members for the first time in its history.

That’s two pieces of great news today, the other being the SMS INC report that golf participation in GB finally stabilised in 2014, just above the 3.3 million mark, offering hope to the golf industry after a decade of decay.
